Liverpool refuse to meet Newcastle price for Enrique

Post  1892NUFF on Tue Jun 07, 2011 12:34 am

Liverpool have pulled out of talks for Newcastle United fullback Jose Enrique.

The People says Liverpool are baulking at the Toon’s £15million valuation of a player who is in the last year of his contract.

Enrique was the No.1 target for manager Kenny Dalglish and Reds director of football Damien Comolli.

The Spaniard could still sign a new deal with Toon, though he is also interesting Manchester United.
