Premier League - Newcastle 'reject Nolan bid'
Newcastle United have reportedly turned down an offer from West Ham for Kevin Nolan believed to be around £3m.
The midfielder recently rejected a new contract at St James' Park, and has been targeted by new West Ham manager Sam Allardyce, who worked with Nolan at Bolton Wanderers.
However, Sky Sports News quoted a Newcastle source as saying the bid was "derisory" and had been rejected out of hand.
Allardyce faces a tough rebuilding task following the Hammers' relegation from the Premier League.
England players Robert Green, Matthew Upson and Scott Parker are all expected to leave Upton Park.
It is thought Allardyce wants to sign striker DJ Campbell from Blackpool.
