Newcastle enter Sissoko discussions

Post  1892NUFF on Mon Jun 27, 2011 5:15 am

Newcastle are one of four clubs who are talking to Toulouse in a bid to capture Moussa Sissoko, according to the player's agent.

The Toulouse midfielder has enjoyed another good season in the south-west of France after deciding to snub a number of European clubs to stay with the French outfit for another year last summer.
However, in March, the 21-year-old revealed he felt ready to move on and has subsequently been attracting interest from across Europe.
Newcastle are thought to be one of the clubs monitoring his progress, although they are believed to be unwilling to match Toulouse's €15million valuation of the France international.
Sissoko's agent, Bacary Sanogo, says he is in talks with Lyon, along with a number of other high-profile teams over a move and expects a deal to be finalised shortly.
"The link with Lyon is serious, but it is not the only one," Sanogo told Goal.com. "There are also negotiations with Liverpool, Newcastle and Inter. Things should seriously move next week."
He added: "His priority is a club with a major sporting project, but it will not pose a problem to Moussa [to remain with Toulouse]."
