Blackpool on verge of landing Newcastle striker

Post  1892NUFF on Tue Jul 12, 2011 12:02 am

Controversial Newcastle outcast Nile Ranger is close to joining Blackpool.

The rookie striker, who was quizzed by club officials after posing for a picture holding a replica gun, has been told he can leave St James' Park if they receive a bid of around £750,000 this summer.

Ranger has endured a frustrating time at Newcastle, scoring just twice in 49 appearances and his two-year spell at the club is coming to an end.

The striker wants to leave the club and Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is interested in him and Ranger, 20, is expected to finalise a deal at Bloomfield Road.

I don't think his heart is quite 100% in football and I think his focus seems to be on enjoying his GANSTA type shenanigans with his mates.
I wouldn't be disappointed to see him leave because we have a good few players his age who have more about him that can step up to the mark and focus on bettering themselves.
