In a way, Shola is just playing it safe and doesn't believe what he,s saying, he just doesn't want to push the boat out and big the team up in such a way that the fans become expectant and pile pressure on.

The best thing to say is, we will try our best to finish as high as we can but we need to ensure survival as quickly as possible.

I'd rather the manager and players say something like this, than to say, oh we are looking for top 4 and then we struggled because could you imagine the pessimistic fans then lol, it would be banners out and a day of mourning with some Razz
