The Puppet speaks

“I hope I can get the club unified again,” said Pardew. “When the ownership of the football club is in the forefront of conversation it is a problem.
“The problem is that where we are now financially means that we can never really fulfil the expectations of the fans.
“They have memories of European football, but the gap is getting bigger as the years go by because the top clubs are getting an influx of money at Champions League level and we have sovereign states owning football clubs.
“Mike Ashley made it quite clear – the club, to a certain extent, needs to wipe its own nose and therefore we haven’t got investment above our income. Some other clubs have that ability to spend more than they earn and Manchester City have been able to break into the top four for that reason.
“A challenge for European football looks beyond them, but some worry the loss of last season’s top goalscorers - Carroll and Kevin Nolan - mean Newcastle will be vulnerable. Pardew has more faith. He said: “We have added two or three very good players and we are going to add to that. Once we see the team settle down I think we are going to see a very strong side.”
Every statement he makes...he lowers expectations
Why does
this guy not get his head down,he really has got ashleys hand up his arse...he really does give the impression of a rabbit caught in the headlights,
I sense dressing room unrest is growing again , regarding his comments
