Newcastle reportedly remain keen on Manchester United starlet Ravel Morrison and could make an improved offer for him next week.
The Magpies have had an initial bid for the 18-year-old, who helped the Reds win the FA Youth Cup last season, turned down by United but Morrison's request for a new deal and a better financial package at Old Trafford has apparently angered boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Red Devils rate Morrison highly and do not want to sell but Ferguson has been left bemused by his inflated wage demands and may opt to get rid before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Toon boss Alan Pardew is a big fan of the teenager and, according to reports in Manchester, he is expected to lodge an improved offer of around £4million in an attempt to lure him to St James' Park.

I suppose we have to trust the club on this lad IF we do get him but I hope he isn't another Nile Ranger type, showing promise only to bollocks it up with Ranger type shenanigans.
I mean he has a bit of form for witness intimidation and also he seems to think he can ask for ridiculous wages for his age and experience or lack of shall I say.
If Ferguson won't accept his wage demands and does ship him out and we buy him, I hope that we make him sign the clauses in a contract to cover our arses.
I'm not against signing players like him as with good management , some can come of age and do the business, I just hope (if he comes) that he's an asset to the squad and not an ASS.
