Re: ranger can leave.
To be honest, i think the lad has loads of potential but i question his attitude in realising that potential.
He obviously fancies himself as a gangster and appears to want some kind of notoriety amongst his band of friends.
Ability wise, he is someone that could go a long way if he is focussed on the job at hand.
Weighing up the options, i would say let him go out on loan for a season and see if his mindset is focussed on progression or whether he's just happy to be touted as "potential" constantly.
Let's face it, the lad has pace and can be a handful when he plays but his end product usually leaves us feeling cheated.
If Pardew decides that Ranger isn't the right temperament or doesn't put enough effort into training or he simply isn't the front man for the future, then it's best to allow him to leave and get whatever price a club are willing to pay.
After all, we move on as a club regardless and we still have stacks of talent in the Academy and to nurture that talent properly, we can do without certain players believing they have already made it and believing in their own hype, which can cause unrest amongst the others.
I think i've covered what i wanted to say lol

Re: ranger can leave.
Well if they stick a decent price in for him, i'd let him leave to be honest and let one of those clubs deal with the aftermath of what i believe it will turn out to be.arfa the mag wrote:bolton and qpr are interested in ranger.
I don't think his total focus is on football .

Re: ranger can leave.
For all those saying he should leave, he is our best striker ability wise out of Lovenkrands, Best and Ameobi.
Re: ranger can leave.
thats the reason we need to get two good strikers in.

Re: ranger can leave.
I can see a situation where we get som average players in and Ashley/Pardew justifies it by saying they weren't going to be held to ransom.
Re: ranger can leave.
they are putting a 5mill bid in for long, i dont think he is good enough.

Re: ranger can leave.
Ridiculous, Ranger could turn out to be much better than Long if he gets some experience.
Re: ranger can leave.
Ranger is crap end off not good enough . he is another poor version of Ameobi. Championship thats where he belongs

Re: ranger can leave.
No he is not crap, he is very unexperienced at the top flight and has a lot of potential. Getting on his back will not help improve him in anyway.

potential? we on about the same player? he is useless so pleased pardew is ridding us of him now we just need ameobi to go

Re: ranger can leave.
He has started how many games this season? I think it's 3, and fair enough he's came on a lot as a sub. But when he comes on he has a great impact on the game, and is easily the best of our current forwards, although admittedly that isn't hard.
