Newcastle United close in on Swansea defender Neil Taylor - report

. Newcastle United are reportedly close to signing Neil Taylor from Swansea City, increasing speculation that Jose Enrique could be moving away from St James’ Park this summer.
Skysports.com reports that the former Manchester City man, who arrived at the Liberty Stadium last summer from Wrexham, has impressed in the Championship this season, earning his first call up the Welsh national side and helping Swansea clinch promotion via the play-offs against Reading.
The defender could leave the club for just £1 million due to a buy-out clause in his contract, while Newcastle are prepared to offer him a lucrative contract.
The possible arrival of the Welshman on Tyneside could open the door for Jose Enrique to join Liverpool, who have long been linked with a move for the Spaniard.
