Premier League - Redknapp slams 'ridiculous' Modric bid
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has branded Chelsea's £22 million bid to sign Luka Modric as "ridiculous" and insisted that his midfield star will not be leaving the club this summer.
Chelsea are understood to have had a £22million offer for the Croatian playmaker rejected last night.
Redknapp is keen to hold on to the 25-year-old, who enjoyed a superb season at the heart of the Spurs midfield last year.
The 64-year-old recently described Modric as "irreplaceable" in the wake of reported interest from the Blues and today hit out at the Londoners' offer.
"Luka is not for sale," Redknapp told the BBC
"If there has been a bid of £22m that is ridiculous. There are people being sold for £20m who are not fit to lace Luka's boots."

Re: Premier League - Redknapp slams 'ridiculous' Modric bid
Looks like Harry's got the Andy Carroll price tag syndrome lol. Naturally he's looked at Andy Carroll going to Liverpool and Torres going to Chelsea for ridiculous fees and has decided Modric "in his mind" is a 50 million type player and because it's Chelsea that's enquired,he, and Levy will have been ching chinging the cash registers with constant million upon millions upon millions lol.
Don;t get me wrong, Modric is a very good player but I'd say realistically 22 million is a decent enough offer and maybe 25 million might be the next bid by Chelsea but I'd be shocked if they go much higher than that and instead maybe look elsewhere.
