Newcastle boss prepared to forgive-and-forget Enrique Twitter rant
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has already punished left-back Jose Enrique over his Twitter rant but now wants to move on and for the player to stay at St James' Park.
The 25-year-old, who is entering the last year of his Magpies contract, was severely critical of the Magpies allowing their quality players to leave.
"Jose was wrong to put those comments up and I told him," Pardew, who has offered the player a new contract, said in The Sun.
"It's a good offer which we have given him and maybe the frustration of the situation got the better of him.
"I want him to stay, he's a good lad but this didn't reflect well on him. It was a mistake, he knows it and so do I."
Re: Newcastle boss prepared to forgive-and-forget Enrique Twitter rant
Fair thoughts from Pardew and it shows he doesn't want to hold grudges. Let's hope Enrique feels the same and signs the contract offered and gives his all for us.
Let's face it, he's an excellent left back but he could turn into a Habib beye should he move to another club.
He's loved at Newcastle but the fans won't allow him much more shenanigans .
