Toon swoop for Wolves hardman

Newcastle are lining up a move for the controversial Wolves captain Karl Henry.

And Toon boss Alan Pardew also wants Bayer Leverkusen winger Tranquillo Barnetta as the Geordies prepare for life after Joey Barton.

With fans ­favourite Barton close to a ­£4million switch to Everton, Newcastle are ­looking to strengthen their midfield and Pardew likes the idea of pairing Henry with Cheik Tiote in the centre of the park.

not quite sure about this signing like. dont know what other people think? as i fear the end is nigh for Barton. dont blame him at all if he does go

it doesnt like i was sure he would stay until nxt year but that looks unlikely now doesnt it?

well all i can say is that if he does go that we get a player of similar quality or better in to replace him

henry and tiote in midfield........hmmmmm.....well look on the bright side,,,it will make us concentrate more on getting into europa with a bit of steel...cos we certainly wont do it through the fair play carry on lol......

id sooner keep barton myself like......but the thing is....anyone who come to play for us...has my backing.....obviously id like it to be better but you just never know do yea....sometimes players that we are dodgy about can actually shock us and turn out great......and some players we harp on about and get..can and have turned out to be shyte lol

nope.....barton can oick a pass and looks far tidier .....from what ive seen of henry...he seems to basically patrol like a scrapyard dog...........
whether thats cos of the wolves teams/managers ethics in survival i dont know...maybe hes got a bit in his locker...

if pardews interested, id say he must have something, cos pardew isnt the type of manager to play mick mccarthy type football..

i dont think we will go in for him dont want him he is not good enough.
