Newcastle will consider a fresh move for Manchester City left back Wayne Bridge if they continue to be priced out of a move for PSV's 23-year-old defender Erik Pieters.

Blackburn and Aston Villa have also expressed interest in Bridge, 31, but Manchester City are reluctant to subsidise his £80,000 a week wages.
