Breaking News – Newcastle Signing Of Gervinho Is Imminent

There is news in the French press this morning that Newcastle’s signing of top target Gervinho is imminent.

The Foot01.com web-site is reporting that Sky Sports said only yesterday that the signing of Gervinho by the Magpies is now imminent.

It appears the Lille striker could join his team mate Johan Cabaye, who will join Newcastle later this week following French International duty.

The Ivorian striker’s agent is said to be currently negotiate the final details of his transfer with the Newcastle club.

If this is true it will be fantastic news for Newcatsle fans, who seem to have taken to the winger’s style of play – not to mention his goal scoring ability and speed.

Maybe that tweet form Cheick Tiote that his friend would be joining Newcatsle a week or so ago – did refer to Gervinho arriving on Tyneside.

This would be great news – if true.

There are reports tonight that arsenal have lodged a bid for Gerivinho, supposed to be £15 million mark. Anyone else heard this?
