Everton not interested in taking Barton
Everton Football Club will not be making a move for Joey Barton this summer.
The 28-year-old has just twelve months left on his contract at Newcastle United, and discussions over a new deal have failed to bear fruition.
This has led to speculation that the Toffees could step in and offer the midfielder a move to Goodison Park, which would see him represent the club he supported as a boy.
However, according to the Liverpool Echo, David Moyes has no intention of bidding for Barton, as he instead sets his sights on securing a striker as a priority.
Re: Everton not interested in taking Barton
well they havent got any money to buy new players unless they sell first eg Baines or Jagelika. Another thing Moyes not be at everton much longer if the villa manager reports are true
